A resident welfare association (RWA) in Bellandur has sparked online discussion after proposing a solution to ease traffic on Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road (ORR). Sharing their concerns on X (formerly Twitter), the group “Save Bellandur” highlighted two Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) roads near the Wipro campus—each under 1 km—that could reduce congestion by up to 38% of the 7,500 daily PCUs on the stretch. They argued that improved connectivity would benefit thousands of schoolchildren and professionals.

The group also pointed out that the Ejipura flyover ramp, which ends just 1 km from Iblur junction, worsens traffic for Sarjapur Road residents. They stressed the need for extended road links between Sarjapur Road and ORR. Questioning the government’s inaction, the RWA criticized dependence on private intervention, saying, “Why are we begging Azim Premji?”

This follows Premji’s letter to the CM, offering to fund a traffic study but refusing to open Wipro’s private road due to SEZ rules. Citizens largely supported the RWA, expressing frustration over delays and poor governance.
