A felicitation programme was held on Friday to honor Wahengbam Renudhar, who achieved an All India Rank of 652 in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination 2025. Organized by Kachathol Hiyanglam–Wabagai, the event featured Dr. Elangbam Amit Kumar as the chief guest, alongside local dignitaries including elder W. Chaobi Singh and Retd. A.I. Kakching E. Surendrajit. Members of the organization and local community presented Renudhar with traditional garlands, shawls, and gifts to celebrate his accomplishment.

Renudhar shared insights from his UPSC preparation journey, emphasizing that success can be achieved through strategic planning and consistent dedication. He acknowledged earlier failed attempts but credited his eventual success to strong moral support from his family and enhanced preparation strategies. The community’s encouragement after his achievement significantly motivated him during his preparations.

Dr. Elangbam Amit Kumar noted that parents take pride in their children’s achievements and highlighted the impressive performance of students from the region in various examinations despite its perceived underdevelopment. He expressed optimism for future successes if local youth continue to strive diligently. Additionally, he stressed the importance of good governance and responsible citizenship for societal progress, advocating for improved education and healthcare facilities. He urged the community to elect capable representatives over those offering temporary incentives.
