Volkswagen has unveiled the second-generation T-Roc, eight years after the original made its debut. This updated version brings major upgrades, including a larger size, refreshed design, and a revamped interior. A key highlight is the introduction of both hybrid and mild-hybrid powertrain options.
While it retains the familiar stance of its predecessor, the front has been modernized with a slimmer headlamp design connected by a full-width LED light bar and an illuminated VW badge. It also sports revised bumpers with sporty intakes and a skid plate-style finish. The side profile remains similar, featuring sharp lines running to the C-pillar and bold fenders, now paired with 20-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the T-Roc gets redesigned LED taillights joined by a light strip.
Now measuring 4,373 mm in length—122 mm more than before—and with a 28 mm longer wheelbase, the SUV offers more interior space. Inside, soft-touch materials, fabric finishes, and recycled plastics enhance quality and sustainability. Engine options include two mild-hybrid 1.5L eTSI engines (114 hp and 148 hp) paired with a 7-speed DSG and 48V assist. A full-hybrid version combining a 1.5L TSI evo2 with an electric motor will follow, offering up to 168 hp. A 2.0L TSI, with optional 4Motion AWD, is also planned.
