Delhi is abuzz with excitement as “Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav” kicks off at Rashtrapati Bhavan from February 8th to 11th, 2024. This grand cultural extravaganza, presented by the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region in collaboration with Northeastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC), promises a captivating glimpse into the vibrant traditions of Northeast India.
The Mahotsav, a highlight of Udyan Utsav 2024, is a celebration of the Ashtalaxmi—the eight culturally rich states of the Northeast. Featuring over 320 artisans, weavers, farmers, and entrepreneurs, the event offers a diverse array of handicrafts, handlooms, and agri-horticultural produce, each stall a testament to the region’s artistic heritage.
But it’s not just about shopping; “Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav” is a feast for the senses, with mesmerizing cultural performances by 350 artists showcasing traditional dances like the Wangala Dance of Meghalaya and the Bamboo Dance of Mizoram.
