Siliguri, June 21: Two pythons have been rescued from different places in Siliguri within 24 hours.
It is reported that on Friday morning, a seven-foot python was seen in the bushes of a tree inside Salugara BSF camp. Subsequently, BSF officials called snake rescuer Ravi Roy, who successfully caught the python after much effort.
Ravi Roy told that due to high temperature pythons are roaming in search of food and cool places.
In another incident on Thursday night, local residents spotted a six-foot python in Ganga Mandir area, Samar Nagar, Battala. Later, with the help of police, the python was rescued and handed over to the forest department.
