Security forces have made significant arrests in Manipur, capturing an active cadre of KCP (PSC) named Jany Kangjam, alias Japan, aged 23, from his residence in Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West district. During the arrest, a mobile phone and an Aadhaar card were confiscated. In a separate operation, another individual identified as Puyam Sindur Singh, alias Chalamba, aged 43, associated with KCP (PWG) and located in the Minuthong area, was also apprehended. A mobile phone was recovered from him as well.
In addition to these arrests, the movement of 234 vehicles carrying essential supplies along NH-37 was facilitated under tight security provisions. Security forces implemented stringent measures in vulnerable areas and established security convoys to guarantee the safe passage of vehicles across sensitive sections.
To enhance security, authorities set up 104 Nakas/Checkpoints in various districts, both in hilly and valley regions, although no detentions were reported at these checkpoints. Continuous search operations and area domination efforts are being conducted by security forces across the affected districts to maintain order and enhance security.
