A new higher secondary institution, Excellent Academy, has been inaugurated at Uyok Chingya under Kakching Turel Wangma, affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (CoHSEM). The academy will commence its first academic session this year, offering classes for XI and XII. During the inaugural event, the MLA of Kakching Assembly Constituency, Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh, emphasized the importance of education in contributing to societal welfare, asserting that knowledge should be shared and not kept private. He expressed confidence in the academy’s role in shaping students’ futures and guiding them toward success in their chosen fields.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Khumukcham Sundari, Principal of Excellent Academy; Mayanglambam Sanaton, former Principal and Professor of Kha Manipur College, Kakching; Mayanglambam Kunjaraj from Central Agricultural University, Imphal; and Dangmei Manglem, Additional Director (Hills) at the Directorate of Education (S), Government of Manipur.
In his address, MLA Rameshwar highlighted the necessity of adapting to the fast-paced advancements of the modern world, where knowledge has become a crucial asset. He urged students to leverage their intellect and academic learning to thrive in life. Furthermore, he stated that Excellent Academy aims to provide not only academic instruction but also to instill moral values and essential life skills. He reminded the teachers of their significant responsibility in fostering both academic and ethical growth in students.
Rameshwar expressed optimism regarding the institution’s potential to emerge as a leading educational establishment in the region. He encouraged the faculty to strive diligently to develop competent and responsible students who would positively impact society and drive community progress and development.
