Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has expressed strong support for the budget announced today, praising its balanced strategy that integrates infrastructure development, social welfare, and environmental sustainability. Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Governance at TKM, commended the government’s prudent fiscal management, targeting a fiscal deficit of 4.9% while prioritizing infrastructure and social sector investments.
Gulati highlighted the budget’s focus on enhancing agricultural productivity and increasing women’s participation in the workforce, which he views as essential for broadening the benefits of economic growth. The budget’s dedicated support for MSMEs and the manufacturing sector is seen as a key driver for increasing their contribution to the national GDP.
The emphasis on energy transition and climate action aligns with TKM’s sustainability goals, including its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Gulati also praised the budget’s initiatives for education and skill development, particularly the new CSR-funded internship program designed to enhance job readiness for young professionals. “The proposed tax rationalization will increase disposable incomes and stimulate consumption, driving economic growth,” Gulati stated. “We support the government’s reforms and remain committed to ‘Grow in India, Grow with India,’ supporting the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’”
