Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited Sainik School Imphal, where he was welcomed by MLA L Susindro Meitei, Principal Col A Rajiv, and senior officials. Col Rajiv briefed the Chief Minister on the school’s operations, emphasizing grievances such as deteriorating infrastructure, water supply issues, the need for strengthening the perimeter wall, the pending girls’ hostel construction, and sound clarity problems in the Vikram Batra auditorium. He also highlighted recent academic achievements and participation in national-level events. The Chief Minister assured that these concerns would be addressed with relevant authorities and underscored the importance of prioritizing students as vital to society. He praised the school’s administration for maintaining standards amid challenges and acknowledged its role in developing disciplined youth. Additionally, he inspected the campus to assess infrastructure needs and supported students in their academic and extracurricular pursuits. Notably, he interacted with Memota Keisham, a student who had engaged with Prime Minister Modi during Pariksha Pe Charcha, commending her achievements as one of 15 students chosen from nearly four crore participants. The visit included other notable officials, such as Commissioner of Education Ningthoujam Geoffrey and Squadron Leader Sachin Kumar.
