Tesla is set to open its second showroom in India today, August 11, at Worldmark 3 in Aerocity, New Delhi. This launch comes shortly after the company opened its first Indian outlet in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex on July 15. Tesla’s India lineup currently features the Model Y electric SUV, offered in two variants: the standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) priced at ₹59.89 lakh and the Long Range RWD at ₹67.89 lakh (both ex-showroom). Deliveries for both models are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025.

The standard RWD variant boasts a claimed range of 500 km per charge and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds, while the Long Range version offers up to 622 km of range and a quicker 0–100 kmph time of 5.6 seconds. Both versions have a top speed of 201 kmph.

The Model Y is imported into India as a completely built unit (CBU), significantly increasing its price due to high import duties. Tesla has leased 8,200 sq. ft. of space for the Aerocity showroom under a nine-year agreement, starting at ₹17.22 lakh per month. The new centre will serve as both a product display and customer engagement hub. Analysts view this as a key move in Tesla’s broader India expansion strategy.
