A comprehensive RCC Bridge Design Survey was conducted at the Agah (Ijei) River bank in Noney, where a new bridge will connect NH-37 through Makhuam village. The survey was led by a bridge design expert from Guwahati, accompanied by Gailiangpou Gonmei, a social worker, and Makhuam Village Authority representatives. This new RCC bridge is projected to provide significant benefits to both Makhuam Village and the wider Noney District by enhancing river connectivity, which will facilitate commercial activities and improve the livelihoods of local residents. Gailiangpou Gonmei announced that the foundation stone laying and inauguration are scheduled for April 2026, with construction anticipated to begin this April. The project represents a crucial advancement in infrastructure development aimed at promoting economic growth in the Noney District.
