The prize distribution ceremony for the 4th Mission Transformation Government Schools (MTGS) competition 2025 took place at the JN Dance Academy Imphal auditorium, targeting government school students from Class III to VIII in Manipur. The event was presided over by distinguished guests, including Ng. Bhogendro Meitei, Director of Education (Schools) as Chief Guest, and several Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) as Guests of Honour. Bhogendro emphasized the importance of nurturing children’s talents and individual strengths, critiquing societal pressure to pursue conventional careers like medicine or engineering.

MTGS Executive Member Shagolsem Herojit Meitei highlighted the initiative’s goal of unlocking potential beyond traditional textbooks, assuring that the competition would help elevate government school students to compete with their private school peers. Plans for future initiatives include career counseling, scholarships for top performers, and enhanced co-curricular activities. MTGS also implemented innovative methods, such as online registration and barcode examination systems, to streamline competition processes and improve accessibility. The proactive involvement of ZEOs was acknowledged as vital for the competition’s success.
