On Monday, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Churachandpur hosted a significant career counselling session organized by the Khuga Battalion of Assam Rifles, aimed at motivating students toward promising career pathways, particularly within the Indian Army. An officer from the Khuga Battalion delivered a compelling presentation entitled “Indian Army: A Way of Life,” which sought to enlighten the students about the various career opportunities available in the armed forces. The session effectively conveyed the merits of pursuing a career in the Indian Army, underscoring its core values of discipline, leadership, courage, and commitment.

During the session, students were introduced to multiple entry routes into the Indian Army, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services (CDS), Short Service Commission (SSC), and Technical Entry Scheme (TES), detailing how these various programs serve as gateways to national service. The event saw participation from 60 students ranging from grades VIII to XII, comprising 37 boys and 23 girls, alongside the School Counsellor and the Principal, reinforcing the school’s commitment to providing guidance on important life decisions.
