Basantakumar Singh spearheaded the inauguration of Pre-Fabricated Houses in Utlou, Bishnupur District. This initiative reflects the government’s steadfast commitment to providing practical solutions to the housing crisis exacerbated by the turmoil.During the inauguration ceremony, Minister Basantakumar stressed the crucial importance of ensuring stable and secure housing for displaced families. While acknowledging that the prefabricated structures are temporary, he affirmed the government’s determination to explore permanent housing solutions in the future, showcasing a forward-looking vision for the affected communities.
Recognizing the pivotal role of education in the lives of children residing in relief camps, Minister Basantakumar announced plans to establish dedicated study halls within the camps. These facilities aim to create a conducive environment for learning and academic development, emphasizing the government’s commitment to the holistic well-being of the displaced population. Moreover, Minister Basantakumar demonstrated proactive measures to enhance the living conditions of the displaced population by pledging personal resources for infrastructure improvements. He committed to utilizing MLA Local Area Development Fund or personal finances to facilitate the blacktopping of the housing colony’s compound and the construction of a multipurpose community hall. This hall will serve practical needs and act as a focal point for community engagement and social cohesion.
