The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Manipur Pradesh has condemned the actions of Indian Youth Congress workers who conducted a topless protest with anti-Modi slogans during the global AI Summit at Bharat Mandapam. M. Asnikumar Singh, the BJP spokesperson, emphasized that the Summit represents national pride with its attendance from over 100 countries and notable figures in technology, such as Sam Altman and Sundar Pichai. He asserts that India is exemplifying its innovation and leadership in Artificial Intelligence, engaging globally as an economic and intellectual powerhouse. At a significant time when India’s stature is acknowledged worldwide, the Congress party’s choice to disrupt the event is seen as an attempt to undermine the nation’s dignity and foster embarrassment on an international scale.

Singh criticized the Congress party for its apparent inability to accept India’s progress under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, suggesting that the party is more focused on provocation than on contributing to constructive policy discussions. He characterized their actions as politically desperate and lacking maturity. The BJP believes that India warrants a responsible opposition that upholds the nation’s reputation, especially during prominent global occasions. Singh concluded by stating that attempts to detract from India’s global image will fail, declaring the country’s ascent as unstoppable and reaffirming its commitment to innovation and global leadership.
