Assam Rifles organized a significant specialist medical camp at Tengnoupal High School under the Operation Sadbhavna initiative to enhance healthcare accessibility for remote regions in Tengnoupal District. The camp included a team of specialized doctors from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) who provided comprehensive services in various medical fields such as Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Dentistry, and Orthopaedics. Approximately 2000 local civilians participated, receiving medical examinations, preventive healthcare counselling, and free medicines. The event particularly focused on women and children, who benefited from specialized consultations in Gynaecology and Paediatrics, ensuring they received necessary supplements and diagnostic advice. Elderly residents were treated for age-related vision and musculoskeletal issues in Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics, while Dentistry services included essential procedures and preventive oral care advice. The camp’s smooth execution was supported by 65 officials and troops, highlighting the importance of logistical coordination. Local civil society organizations recognized the initiative as a vital provision of modern healthcare to marginalized border villagers, especially benefiting women and children. This camp is part of ongoing civic action events organized by Assam Rifles to promote civilian welfare and accessible healthcare in the region.
