The Green Brigade Foundation Manipur organized its 39th and 40th blood donation camps at the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Lamphel, and at the Shija Blood Centre of Shija Hospitals in Langol. These events were held in memory of Late Ningthoujam Ibomcha Singh, father of Ningthoujam Darshan Singh from Toubul Awang Leikai in Bishnupur district. The camps were conducted in collaboration with Life Savers Manipur, the Shija Blood Centre, and the Department of Transfusion Medicine at RIMS. A total of 30 voluntary blood donors participated, with 12 donors, including one female, at Shija Blood Centre and 18 donors at RIMS. The Green Brigade Foundation has been proactive in organizing blood donation drives due to a persistent shortage of blood supplies in Manipur. They have urged the public to voluntarily donate blood during such significant occasions to aid in saving lives.
