Security forces in the Imphal West district recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including a double barrel gun, a country-made pistol with a magazine, 181 rounds of various calibers, three additional magazines, two hand grenades, a detonator, and a Baofeng wireless handset with charger along Ngairangbam Tanoukhul Road towards Longa Koireng. Additionally, an extortionist identified as Ningthoujam Ibungocha @ Sathouba Meitei, a self-styled Lieutenant of the PLA, was arrested at Yaingangpokpi Bazar, with a mobile phone and SIM card seized during the process. Another arrest occurred involving Athokpam Manaoton Meitei, a self-styled Private of RPF/PLA, in the Sawombung area. Moreover, security forces dismantled four bunkers at Mongkot Chepu in Ukhrul district and recovered 24 rounds of empty fired cartridges from the site.
