Security forces arrested five members of valley-based insurgent groups (VBIGs) in Tengnoupal district, specifically between BP 73 and 75, under the jurisdiction of Moreh Police Station. The arrested individuals are Thangjam Ashok Kumar Singh alias Khongthang from Waikhong Village (PREPAK), Laishram Nipamacha Singh alias Loiya from Sagolmang Awang Leikai (PREPAK), Thangjam Manimatum Meitei alias Sana from Sugnu Awang Leikai (KYKL), Laishram Inao Singh alias Sanamacha from Urup Makha Leikai (KCP-MFL), and Chingangbam Shakti Singh alias Phairen from Lamlai Nongada (KCP-MFL). In related developments, security protocols have been tightened to ensure the movement of 121 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 within the last 24 hours. Enhanced security measures have been implemented across vulnerable areas, including the establishment of 116 Nakas/Check points across various districts, though no detentions occurred.
