Security forces apprehended an active cadre of PREPAK (Pro), Soyam Vicky Meitei alias Hitler alias Yangba (27), at his residence in Khurai Thongam Leikai, under the jurisdiction of Porompat Police Station in Imphal East district. Additionally, Konu Mendy Junior (26), a Ghanaian national, was detained at Imphal International Airport for possessing an expired visa. Authorities seized a PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, mobile phone, and a passport from him, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) for further investigation under the Foreigners Act. In response to security concerns, 115 Nakas/Check points were set up across various districts, though no further detentions were made. The movement of 218 vehicles transporting essential goods along NH-37 was facilitated, accompanied by strict security measures at sensitive locations to ensure their safe passage.
