Security forces arrested two active members of the insurgent group PREPAK in Manipur on Thursday. The first, Haobijam Manaoton Singh, also known as Lakpa, aged 24, was apprehended at his residence in Moirang Khunou, Bishnupur district. The second, Angom Romio Meitei, known as Tayai, aged 38, was arrested at Moirang Bazar Thanga Parking; he has been implicated in a firing incident in August 2024 and was actively recruiting for PREPAK. During his arrest, a mobile phone and two SIM cards were confiscated.
