During separate operations in Manipur, security authorities captured two active cadres from banned terrorist groups. During these operations, weapons, ammunition, and tactical equipment were also found. In the first occurrence, a KCP (Lalumba) cadre was taken into custody by the Heingang Police Station in the Imphal East district, close to the intersection of Laiharobam Leirak and Kontha Ahallup Makha Leikai. Wahengbam Ramananda Singh, a 50-year-old inhabitant of Kontha Ahallup Mayai Leikai, has been identified as the person.

One 9 mm handgun with a magazine, six live rounds of 9 mm ammunition, two handguns in.32 caliber with magazines, eight live rounds of.32 ammunition, and a cell phone were taken from him. Another insurgent connected to the KYKL group was apprehended from Phayeng village in the Imphal West district’s Lamsang Police Station in a different operation that same day. Angom Ajoy Meitei, 32, the person who was arrested, is from Phayeng Mayai Leikai. He was found to have one military-style waist belt, one telescope, one cell phone, one bulletproof (BP) jacket, and one bulletproof helmet.

Additionally, security personnel conducted massive area domination and search operations in susceptible zones in the state’s valley and hill regions.
