Residents of Brahmapur Nahabam Leikai staged a sit-in protest today, vehemently condemning the bomb attack on the residence of Mayanglambam Biramani on Tuesday evening around 8 PM.The protestors called for an end to bomb attacks in residential areas, highlighting the panic and fear such incidents cause within the community. They urged the state government to take swift action to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure the safety of civilians.

“The bomb attack on our residence is incredibly unfortunate,” said the trustee and daughter-in-law of the victim’s family. “The bomb was thrown towards our house, landing near the courtyard. This incident was completely unexpected as our family has no issues with anyone. We urge those involved to come forward and explain their actions.”

The attack involved two hand grenades lobbed by unknown miscreants at the home of Mayanglambam Biramani, 66, in Brahmapur Nahabam Bamon Leikai under Imphal East district. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. According to reliable sources, one grenade exploded, setting a parked four-wheeler on fire, while the second grenade failed to detonate.
