In a strategic move to enhance educational opportunities and bolster community engagement, the Centre for Women and Girls (CWG), in collaboration with Assam Rifles, initiated a Library Upgradation Programme under Operation Sadbhavna. This initiative aims to improve the educational infrastructure for local students in the region, thereby creating a more conducive learning environment.

The programme provided vital infrastructure enhancements, such as book racks and shelves, a cash counter table, an inverter with battery, display retail shelves, and a lighting signage board, to upgrade the existing library facilities. These improvements are anticipated to foster a better atmosphere for learning and to motivate students to utilize the resources available to them more effectively.

The library upgradation event was attended by representatives from Civil Society Organisations, local village authorities, and GUNCHU students, showcasing a unified commitment to educational development within the community. During the proceedings, authorities from Assam Rifles honored community leaders, recognizing their collaboration and ongoing support for strengthening educational initiatives, as reported in a press release from IGAR(S).
