Deputy Chief Minister L Dikho has announced ongoing efforts to identify individuals involved in the violence in Litan, Ukhrul district, and emphasized collaboration with various stakeholders, including the government and civil society groups, to address the crisis. He conveyed optimism, suggesting there are positive signs amid coordination between key parties, though immediate resolutions might be challenging. Dikho indicated that while the identity of the perpetrators remains unknown, the situation following initial chaos from gunfire and arson is becoming clearer, and governmental actions are leading to a gradual calming of tensions. Additionally, the State Government has imposed a five-day suspension of internet services in certain areas to prevent the misuse of social media for inciting unrest, according to a statement from the Home Department.
