Security forces arrested an active cadre of RPF/PLA, identified as Chingakham Rocky Singh alias Sanathoi alias Ipumba (38) of Andro Torongthel from Ingourok Makha Leikai area under Nongpok Sekmai-PS, Thoubal district. A mobile phone along with SIM card was seized from him. Security forces also arrested an extortionist, a PREPAK active cadre, namely Nahakpam Sibananda Singh alias Amuthoi (32) of Phouden Moirang Palli, from Singjamei Thongam Leikai area, Singjamei-PS Imphal West district. An associate of his who assisted him in the transaction of the extortion money, one Deviya Mongjam (29) of Kwakeithel Nganapithong Mapal, Imphal West District was also arrested from her residence. Two mobile phones, an iPad and an Aadhaar card were seized from them.
Meanwhile, security forces arrested a constable driver of Manipur Police, identified as Kongkham Sanajaoba Singh alias Ibomcha (43) of Utlou Chanura, under Nambol-PS, Bishnupur district from his locality. Despite serving in the Manipur Police department, the arrestee was involved in recruitment of cadres for KCP (MFL) as an active cadre of the banned organisation.
