NN Mangang Wushu Academy celebrated its 3rd Foundation Day at Turel Achouba Pareng, Moirangthem Leikai, Kakching, aiming to nurture young talents and promote a healthy sporting culture. The event was attended by Naorem Sanjitkumar, Caretaker Chairperson of Kakching Municipal Council and President of Kakching District Wushu Association, who emphasized Manipur’s potential in sports and the importance of sports in shaping the character and mindset of youth. He also raised concerns about social unrest and political disturbances affecting athletes’ mental well-being and urged collective action to support young sportspersons. The academy’s founder, Naorem Niroda, a former national and international Wushu player, has been instrumental in training athletes, producing one international player and several national-level competitors. The celebration highlighted the academy’s commitment to promoting Wushu and developing sporting talent in the region.
