The National Integration Tour (NIT), part of Operation Sadbhavana, focuses on fostering unity among the youth of Manipur, with 24 participants from various communities including Kuki, Meitei, Pangal, and Naga. This tour represents a commitment to unity in diversity, enhancing national pride and mutual understanding.

The journey commenced with a visit to Thiruvananthapuram on March 7, where participants explored significant cultural and scientific institutions. Notable visits included the Napier Museum, the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, and the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, all providing insight into Kerala’s rich heritage. A key moment was their interaction with the Governor of Kerala at Raj Bhavan, who motivated the youths to pursue education and promote national unity. Additionally, a visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre highlighted India’s advancements in space science and technology, as noted by IGAR(S) in a subsequent press release.

On March 8, the tour continued to the Pangode Military Station, where participants observed military operations and engaged with personnel. Their travels also included a visit to the Priyadarshini Planetarium and a trip to Kanyakumari, allowing them to appreciate the blend of cultural diversity and natural splendor at this iconic location.

By March 10, the tour had reached Mumbai, the financial and cultural heart of India. Participants explored landmarks such as the Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Marine Drive, Bandra Bandstand, Juhu Beach, Girgaum Chowpatty, and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. They also visited comprehensive establishments like the Nehru Science Centre, Bombay Stock Exchange, Reserve Bank of India, Wankhede Stadium, Indian Government Mint, and the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Furthermore, they experienced industrial sites linked to major corporations like the Reliance Group and Raymond Group, as well as glimpses of residences belonging to prominent Bollywood figures.

The tour featured multi-modal travel including flights, trains, and local transportation, which enriched the participants’ understanding of India’s diverse geography and connectivity. Overall, the NIT has significantly enhanced awareness of India’s cultural heritage, strategic institutions, urban development, and culinary diversity, thereby strengthening the spirit of national integration and inspiring the youth to positively impact society.
