Nissan Motor India has launched the all-new GRAVITE, a seven-seater MPV introduced at an introductory price of ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the first product under the company’s renewed product offensive and signalling an innovation-led resurgence strategy in the Indian automotive market. Manufactured locally at Nissan’s Chennai facility, the GRAVITE reflects the company’s “Made in India, Made for India” approach aimed at delivering affordable, technology-enabled mobility solutions.
Designed around the evolving needs of Indian families, the GRAVITE offers flexible seating configurations from two to seven occupants, luggage capacity of up to 625 litres and more than 30 standard safety features including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill-Start Assist and Brake Assist. The vehicle integrates Nissan’s signature ‘C’ design language, LED lighting systems, modular interiors, a 20.32 cm infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster and wireless charging. Powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine paired with manual and AMT transmission options, the MPV delivers fuel efficiency of up to 19.6 km/l.
Nissan said ongoing dealer network expansion across Tier I and Tier II cities and upcoming SUV launches form part of its future-ready roadmap aimed at accelerating innovation-driven growth in India’s competitive mobility ecosystem.
