Nissan Motor India has revealed a first look at the All-New Tekton, its upcoming C-SUV designed to combine cutting-edge technology, premium craftsmanship, and bold aesthetics. Inspired by the iconic Nissan Patrol, the Tekton reflects Nissan’s focus on innovation, precision engineering, and creating vehicles that resonate with modern lifestyles. The name “Tekton,” meaning “craftsman” or “architect” in Greek, highlights the company’s ethos of blending design excellence with functional performance.
The Tekton is the second model under Nissan’s “One Car, One World” strategy and will be manufactured at the Chennai plant in collaboration with Renault, serving both the domestic market and select exports. Key design features include a sculpted bonnet, muscular side profile, signature C-shaped headlamps, rear illuminated lightbar, and subtle mountain-inspired accents on the front doors, delivering a commanding presence while integrating advanced technology for modern consumers.
Local dealerships report heightened interest from SUV enthusiasts and tech-savvy buyers, with pre-launch inquiries indicating strong potential demand. Analysts suggest the Tekton could drive adoption of premium C-SUVs in the Northeast, catering to consumers seeking a blend of innovation, style, and performance in their vehicles. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan India, commented, “The Tekton represents the future of Nissan in India, combining design, technology, and innovation to redefine the SUV segment.”
