In a recent humanitarian effort, the Like Minded Group (LMG) of Manipur provided financial assistance of ₹15,000 to Heirangkhongjam Sandhyarani Devi, a resident of Mayeng Lamjao in Kakching district, who is undergoing medical treatment at the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal. This initiative aims to support needy families facing financial challenges, particularly in the context of health-related hardships.

Sandhyarani Devi, who is struggling to care for her young daughter while dealing with a prolonged illness, expressed profound gratitude for the timely help received from LMG members during the assistance presentation at JNIMS on Monday. The group was motivated to support her after learning about her medical condition and the associated financial burdens that her family is experiencing.

The assistance was presented in the presence of notable LMG officials, including Secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam, Treasurer Kunjeshwor Mangsatabam, Assistant Secretary Surendra Ningomba, and members Surjit Ngangomcha, Suni Nongthonbam, Joykumar Thokchom, and Boinao Maibam.

During the event, Secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam emphasized the importance of community support during times of illness and hardship. He highlighted that collective assistance not only aids individuals in need but also strengthens the bonds of humanity and unity within the community, reinforcing the sentiment that society must come together to help those who are struggling.
