The State PC-PNDT Cell, Directorate of Family Welfare Services, and National Health Mission Manipur have organized a Walkathon to raise awareness on National Girl Child Day, 2026. The event, titled “Empowering Every Daughter and Building a Stronger India,” aims to end gender-biased sex selection, promote education and skill development, improve health and nutrition, strengthen safety, and create equal opportunities for girls. The event was attended by State Nodal Officer, principal, teachers, students, and staff of the Female Health Worker Training school. National Girl Child Day is an important observance in India aimed at protecting, supporting, and uplifting every girl child.
