Pravabati College in Mayang, Imphal obtained three gold medals in the Manipur University Inter College (M&W) Championship 2023-24 hosted by Manipur University at Dr Kamal Indoor Stadium, Canchipur.
Mangal Sapam came up with Pravabati College’s first gold medal in 109 kg category with 75 kg in Snatch and 100 kg in Jerk while H Gitanjali Chanu also landed gold in 59 kg category with 60 kg in Snatch and 68 kg in Jerk.
W Nivedita Devi fetched the third gold medal in 81 kg with 60 kg in Snatch and 80 kg in Jerk.
Liberal College’s Luwangsangbam weightlifter W Anjali Devi obtained a gold medal in 76 kg with 80 kg in Snatch and 106 kg in Jerk while counterpart Adison Huidrom also bagged gold in 73kg category while lifting 83 kg in Snatch and 110 kg in Jerk.
NGC and NISC also received two gold medals each while TBLC, MIC and NBC took gold medal each. Manipur College obtained 1 silver medal in the meet.
