On March 11 and 12, in commemoration of World Glaucoma Day, the Indian Army organized medical camps in the Bishnupur District, targeting residents of remote areas. Camps were set up at Wangusabal and Hautak on the first day, and at Siden on the second day. Army doctors provided medical consultations, basic treatments, and distributed essential medicines, benefiting over 500 villagers, including women, children, and senior citizens. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about Glaucoma and Eye Health, stressing the necessity for early detection and timely care. Additionally, the camps encouraged local participation in an upcoming “Integrated Multi-Speciality Medical Camp” planned at various locations, which aims to offer broader healthcare services to the community.
