The two-day National Conference on MedEngage: Uniting Clinicians and Engineers for Biomedical Innovation (MedEngage: UCEBI-2026), held at Banting Hall, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal on February 18-19, 2026, successfully fostered interdisciplinary collaboration in biomedical research and healthcare technology. Organized by the National Institute of Technology Manipur, National Institute of Technology Haryana, and RIMS, the event featured clinicians, engineers, researchers, academicians, innovators, and students who participated in scientific sessions, technical presentations, and panel discussions. Topics included biomedical innovation, AI in healthcare, affordable technologies, and rural health solutions. Keynote speakers emphasized the importance of clinician–engineer collaborations in tackling infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), trauma care, and digital health transformation, while advocating for translational research, industry partnerships, start-up incubation, and student-driven innovation. In the valedictory session, dignitaries committed to establishing MedEngage as an annual event, enhancing interdisciplinary research networks, promoting joint academic programs, and driving innovation-based healthcare aligned with national goals, thereby integrating medical expertise with engineering innovation for a transformative impact.
