In a proud moment for Manipur and the Northeast, Haobam Joyremba, Managing Director of CubeTen Technologies Pvt. Ltd., represented India at the Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit held at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The summit, attended by delegates from over 100 countries, focused on digital sovereignty, ethical AI, and empowering developing nations through technology.
Joyremba played a vital role as a member of the speaker selection committee, reviewing more than 160 applications through eight evaluation rounds to ensure a diverse and inclusive platform. In his speech, he highlighted challenges faced by conflict-prone regions like Manipur, including weak infrastructure, unreliable data, disruptions due to conflicts, and a lack of skilled AI professionals. He urged for greater global cooperation, investment, and supportive policies to bridge these gaps.
