Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps, conducted a thorough assessment visit to Manipur to evaluate the security situation amidst ongoing challenges, as reported by IGAR(S). Accompanied by senior commanders, he visited key areas including Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, Imphal East, and Imphal West districts. During the visit, Lt Gen Pendharkar received detailed briefings from the GOC Red Shield Division, IGAR (South), and other leaders regarding operational dynamics. He reviewed the deployments of the Army and Assam Rifles, directly interacting with troops to assess their readiness for potential threats. Acknowledging the professionalism and resilience of the soldiers in maintaining peace under challenging conditions, he emphasized the importance of mission readiness. Lt Gen Pendharkar instructed all formations to remain vigilant and agile, particularly in unstable regions, to effectively address any rapid developments.
