Amidst a crackdown on extortion and militancy in Manipur, security forces executed coordinated operations resulting in the apprehension of four suspected militants. Thokchom Santosh Meitei (37), a self-styled sergeant of KCP (Taibanganba), was arrested in Heirangoithong, Imphal West, with a mobile phone seized. Another militant, Louriyam Thoi Meitei alias Korou (26), from PREPAK (PRO) (G-5), was detained at the Loktak Project Gate in Bishnupur, where a mobile phone and SIM card were confiscated. Thokchom Jotilal Singh (29), also from PREPAK, was captured in Imphal East, with a mobile phone seized as well. Lastly, Wangkheirakpam Nandi Meitei (45) was arrested from Imphal West, with his mobile phone confiscated. Additionally, a substantial cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from Changsang hill range in Imphal East.
