Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee today perceived and followed the 139th Foundation Day of the Indian National Congress at Congress Bhavan, Manipur.
Speaking on this occasion, former speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly and treasurer of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, MLA Th. Lokeshwar strikes hard at both the Central and the State Governments alleging that both of them were trying to wipe out the Meitei Community from the State.
MLA Th. Lokeshwar, who attended the Observance as Chief Guest hoisted the Indian National Congress flag. He said that the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) reprehend both the Government of State and Central over their failure to contain the violence in the state which is continued to near about 8 months. He is appealed to all the people of the state to stand united with togetherness and fight any attempt of violence to the integrity of Manipur.
The observance was attended by Kh. Devabrata Singh, Working President, MPCC and Vidyapati Senjam, Vice President, MPCC as President and Guest of Honour. A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to those 11 MPCC members who had left for heavenly abode from 25th Dec 2022 to 25th Dec 2023.
