Amid ongoing tensions in Manipur, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Singh reviewed the law and order situation in Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts during his visit on July 18. According to an official statement, the DGP held meetings with officers from the District Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and other law enforcement personnel to assess the prevailing security scenario.
During his interactions, DGP Singh encouraged the officers and commended their efforts, boosting the morale of the personnel on the ground. The visit underscored the police leadership’s continued commitment to maintaining peace, enhancing coordination, and recognising the tireless service of police personnel in challenging conditions.
In Churachandpur, meetings were also held with MPS probationers, officers-in-charge (OCs), commando (CDO) units, and women police personnel, highlighting the inclusive nature of the engagement.
The visit concluded in Bishnupur with a felicitation ceremony, where DGP Singh presented the DGP Disc and Commendation awards, acknowledging exemplary service and dedication among the ranks.
