Imphal In light of the cold weather and the upcoming festival and New Year, the Manipur government has actually declared an eight day holiday for all schools in Manipur beginning December 23 and ending December 30. In fact on Thursday the Director of Education (Schools), L Nandakumar Singh informed this in a notification. In spite of having regular sunshine for the past week Manipur has begun to experience cold weather. As stated by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati the temperature dropped to 7.7 degrees Celsius in Imphal on Tuesday.
This step taken by Manipur government was good as student need to take rest in this winter season as it is good for their health. Actually health is the primary requirement for anyone as first we should take care of the health first then think about other things. This year winter season is getting colder with time and for this reason it becomes a need for everyone to take rest and enjoy festival.
