In Manipur’s Bishnupur district, police have arrested three individuals in connection with the abduction and assault of 24-year-old Moirangmayum Khagemba Singh from Ithai Bazaar. The youth was reportedly abducted and physically assaulted by unknown persons at Keirenphabi village before being admitted to a hospital for medical care.

Acting swiftly, police cordoned off potential locations and apprehended three suspects: Koijam Roshan Meitei (32) of Pukhao Iranpham, currently living in Moirang PWD Leirak; Haobijam Somokanta Singh (31) from Sunusiphai Maka Leikai; and Kongjengbam Napoleon Singh (26) of Phougakchao Ikhai, currently residing in the Moirang Lamkhai Relief Camp. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the attack.

In a separate development, Manipur Police conducted a traffic enforcement drive on July 18, 2025, during which 15 vehicles were detained for violations such as lacking registration certificates and number plates. Additionally, tinted films were removed from 22 vehicles as part of the operation to ensure road safety and compliance with traffic norms.
