In a firm stance aimed at ensuring lasting peace in Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh underscored the state’s unwavering commitment to resolving core issues without compromise, emphasizing the paramount importance of finding amicable solutions. Speaking at the BJP Manifesto release event at the BJP office Thambal Shanglen, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh reiterated Manipur’s steadfast stance during the function. Singh assured that Manipur would address its challenges while safeguarding the interests of its indigenous population and the territorial integrity of the state. Highlighting the detrimental effects of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), Singh lamented the loss of lives and ongoing suffering caused by the act. Acknowledging its repercussions, the BJP government willingly revoked the disturbed area status from 19 police stations.
