Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh presented the Annual Report (2021–22) of the Manipur Human Rights Commission during the Fifth Sitting of the Seventh Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly. He highlighted the successful discussions and voting on the Demands for Grants, showcasing the Assembly’s dedication to welfare and development. Singh introduced the Manipur Money Lenders Bill, 2026, aimed at enhancing regulation of money lending and fostering financial inclusivity in the State. In the preceding Fourth Sitting, discussions proceeded smoothly, overcoming minor disruptions, and Singh expressed gratitude to all Members for maintaining order during the proceedings. He emphasized the importance of the clarifications he provided in response to questions from the Members, adhering to democratic values and commitment to serve the people of Manipur.
