A collaborative effort involving the Manipur Police, CRPF, Forest Department, and NCB has led to the destruction of 53 acres of poppy cultivation in the hill ranges of Moljol, Tusam, Vaichei-Naphai, and adjacent areas within the Kangpokpi district. This operation resulted in the demolition and incineration of seven huts, 11 bags of fertilizers, 23 roundup herbicides, 14 bags of salt, alongside various cultivation tools including spray pumps and pipes. Additionally, the Manipur Police conducted a separate initiative aimed at eliminating illegal modifications in motorcycles, where 23 modified silencer pipes confiscated in Churachandpur over the past two days were also destroyed at the Churachandpur Police Station in the presence of media representatives.
