Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh announced that the State Government will ensure the safety and medical treatment of members of the Kuki-Zo community visiting Imphal. His comments were made at the flag-off of the NH-137A highway strengthening project, which has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH). The Chief Minister also expressed well wishes for MLA Vungzagin Valte’s recovery following his airlift for medical treatment to New Delhi. He highlighted the need for timely completion and quality maintenance of the highway project, with contractors promising completion by the end of April. Minister Khuraijam Loken Singh commended the Chief Minister’s initiative and urged the public to support developmental efforts, emphasizing a new governmental focus on resettling Internally Displaced Persons and restoring peace. The event was attended by various officials from the Government of Manipur.
