On Saturday, security forces reported the arrest of a 21-year-old militant associated with the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (PSC) in the Imphal West district. The arrest took place at Tera Lukram Leirak on Friday. In a separate operation conducted in the Chingkhei Ching foothill area of Imphal East district, authorities recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition. The recovered items included a .303 rifle with a magazine, a .22 rifle, a 9 mm SMG carbine with a magazine, two No. 36 hand grenades, an improvised bomb, a WP No. 80 MK-1 grenade, 57 live rounds of various calibers, three Lethod shells, two empty SLR cases, four INSAS magazines, one SLR magazine, one pistol magazine, two tube launchers, and two .303 charger clips. The arrested militant and the confiscated arms have been transferred to the relevant police stations for further action.
