On International Women’s Day, a program themed “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls” was organized at Lamjao Mayai Leikai Community Hall in Kakching district by the Kakching District Bar Association and Lamjao Part 1 Development Association. The event was attended by Khundrakpam Hemabati, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Kakching, as the chief guest, with Thounaojam Mema, Vice President of Lamjao Apunba Meira Paibee Lup, presiding over the function. Key guests included Vice Presidents Yumnam Bidyapati and Urikhinbam Shantibala, and secretaries Sorolhaibam Inaobi Devi, Mayengbam Memcha Leima, and Urikhinbam Sanajaobi. Senior Advocate Nongmaithem Madhu presented the keynote address, while Advocate Kshetrimayum Sarankumari addressed domestic violence against women. Advocate Taibangjam Geetdev Meitei discussed the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. The event emphasized legal awareness and the significance of protecting the rights and dignity of women and girls.
