Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh had a meeting with Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, to discuss the industrial sector in Manipur. After the meeting, Khemchand posted on X that the meeting was cordial, fruitful, and all about future prospects. He stressed the immense potential of Manipur in the heavy industry sector, mentioning its capability to catalyze economic development, develop industrial activities, and generate massive employment opportunities in the state. Varma reacted positively to the meeting, providing fruitful suggestions and assurances to continue supporting the development of the industrial ecosystem in Manipur.

Khemchand again reiterated the state’s commitment to promoting sustainable industrial development for the collective progress and prosperity of Manipur. Before this meeting, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, the State BJP President, along with other senior party members, welcomed Varma warmly upon his arrival in Imphal. During his visit, Varma is scheduled to inspect and review important development projects in the state, reiterating the commitment to developing the industrial landscape of Manipur.
