Amid widespread devastation caused by recent floods in Northeast India, Indus Towers Limited, in partnership with grassroots organization NEAID, has stepped in to aid affected communities across Assam, Manipur, and Tripura. Under its CSR initiative ‘Pragati’, the telecom infrastructure giant distributed 1,030 dry ration kits to families in severely impacted regions such as Cachar (Assam), Imphal (Manipur), and remote areas in Tripura.

Indus Towers employees actively participated in the distribution process, providing on-ground support. “We are deeply committed to supporting families affected by the floods with timely and meaningful assistance,” said Rajender Singh Gurung, Circle CEO, Indus Towers Limited.

In Imphal, where several localities remain waterlogged, the relief kits were a much-needed lifeline. Many residents, especially daily-wage workers, welcomed the support, with local vendors noting a gradual improvement in access to essential food items. “The support from Indus Towers came when local supply chains were disrupted. It brought immediate relief,” said a market trader in Imphal Bazaar. NEAID Co-Founder Meraj Ahmed said, “Thousands have been left struggling. With Indus Towers’ support, we aim to provide timely relief and help build long-term resilience.”
